A  renowned tech entrepreneur and Inua AI founder Humphrey Kasembeli Muchuma has donated 20 desks, pledged full scholarships for 20 students, and committed KSh 50,000 toward the purchase of a dairy cow for Nambalayi Primary School in Webuye west sub county.

The high-impact donation, unveiled during a colorful ceremony at the school, is set to ease classroom congestion, improve pupil welfare, and enhance access to education for bright but underprivileged learners in Webuye West Sub-County.

“This isn’t charity, it’s an investment in human potential,” Muchuma told attendees. “For our communities to thrive, we must strengthen the pillars of education, nutrition, and opportunity.”

The scholarships will cover beneficiaries’ academic to tertiaries and universities including tuition, and other essentials. School administrators lauded the initiative as a lifeline for struggling families.

“This intervention is timely and deeply impactful,” said the Head teacher. “It will not only uplift individual learners but also inspire the entire school community.”

In addition to easing the pressure on furniture shortages, the KSh 50,000 allocation for a dairy cow is expected to bolster the junior secondary school’s nutrition program by providing a regular milk supply, a critical need in a region where feeding programs are inconsistent.

Muchuma, who has gained national recognition for leveraging artificial intelligence to solve grassroots challenges, used the occasion to call on local residents and professionals to champion homegrown development initiatives.

“We cannot outsource the future of our children. Collective responsibility is the foundation of meaningful change,” he emphasized.

Local leaders, parents, and education officials commended the gesture, describing it as a model for sustainable, community-driven philanthropy. The school, in coordination with education stakeholders, will identify the scholarship recipients based on merit and need.

Muchuma’s contribution adds to his growing legacy of tech-enabled social impact, bridging digital innovation with education access in underserved communities.
