Teachers in Mombasa County have been warned against absenteeism.
Teachers Service Commission Director in the area, Stephen Ajanga noted it was a serious offence for teachers to be absent from his or her working station without obtaining permission from the school head.
He cautioned that any teacher found to be absent from duty for no apparent reason will be dealt with.
He told teachers to adhere to the TSC Code of Regulations to enable them discharge their duties in a more efficient and effective way.
He asked them to be dedicated in their work to ensure their students excel.
