Teachers urged to be role models in the society

Teachers have been asked to start education related projects in their area to inspire and benefit residents in the area.

Speaking to Magenche Ward Teachers Association in Kisii County, Nairobi based businessman Nolfason Barongo asked teachers to set an example to the locals.

“You are community educators who lead as others follow therefore let your efforts be geared towards the provision and development of quality education in the community,” he said.

He lauded the association’s Chairman Mr. Stephen Maina for initiating the spirit that has enabled the association sponsor several projects in the area.

The business man promised to assist in funding some of their projects at the right time.

Mr. Maina revealed that members had so far raised more than 250,000 shillings towards the association’s benevolent fund.

The chairman urged the teachers who were yet to join the association to do the same so they may benefit fully from the projects they have and those they are yet to launch.
