Teachers to attend communal classes in their neighbourhoods

By Philemon Kiprop

Teachers employed by TSC will soon be required to offer communal classes to help millions of learners who cannot access online teaching.

The directive given by Education Cabinet Secretary Prof Gorge Magoha aims at meeting learner’s needs as the Covid-19 pandemic bites. The program targets remote areas where virtual learning is a challenge.

In a statement to the press, CS said Ministry and TSC will liaise with local authorities in mapping out how teachers will offer services within their localities.

Prof Magoha added that Teachers Service Commission will provide guidelines on the implementation of the programme warning teachers against extorting money from the parents.

The directive comes in the wake of public outcry concerning tutors being paid while at home.

At the same time, Ministry has directed that all institutions of higher learning will remain closed until January 2021 since most of them have not complied with the Ministry of Health Covid-19 protocols.

However, universities have been given green light to continue with the online classes, examinations and graduations.

  1. Thanks for the tips about credit repair on this amazing web-site. The things i would offer as advice to people should be to give up the particular mentality that they’ll buy right now and pay back later. As a society we tend to try this for many things. This includes trips, furniture, and items we’d like. However, you need to separate one’s wants out of the needs. When you are working to improve your credit rating score make some trade-offs. For example it is possible to shop online to save money or you can go to second hand outlets instead of costly department stores pertaining to clothing.
