Teachers and parents should ensure they bring up students with good character to help boost integrity in the country.
Othaya MP Gichuki Mugambi said school is the best place to build foundation of the students both in academics and integrity.
Mugambi also advised learners to cultivate and nurture virtues of good behavior and to value and spend their time well if they are to succeed in their future.
The MP said being citizen of good character in future will also help the country.
He told the students that as they work hard to have good grades, they should ensure they grow up to be citizens of good character.
He said the country badly needs people with integrity saying incidents of corruption have increased.
Mugambi underscored the need for Boards of Management to work with all to ensure they uplift the standards of education in schools.
The school has huge debts which can only be resolved by working together, he said.
He called on parents to provide basic and other needs to learners as the Government pays fees.
