Teachers and other professionals have been adviced to broaden their skill by taking other courses, allowing them to remain financially stable while navigating the flooded job market.

Speaking during a mediation training session held at a hotel in Kisii, The Director of Strategize Dispute Resolution Centre Dr. Edwin Mungai emphasized that numerous job opportunities exist in the country, asking job seekers to overcome their lack of awareness.

“You must expand your professional horizons to adapt to our ever-evolving world,” he asserted.

Over the course of two days, participants delved into the procedures for addressing banking disputes, exploring topics encompassing the various types of banking disputes, the dynamics of the banker-customer relationship, and the legal requirements pertinent to the banking industry.

Dr. Mungai explained that the workshop served as a follow-up to the Banking Mediation Summit held in April, which identified a need to train mediators proficient in handling banking disagreements harmoniously.

Attendees expressed their gratitude to the organizers, pledging to apply the insights gained to become valuable contributors within the sensitive financial sector.

“I leave with a wealth of experience that will bolster my confidence as a professional mediator,” Josephine Meroka, one of the participants stated.

Certificates acknowledging successful participation and completion of the short Mediation Course were awarded to the workshop’s attendees.
