By Enock Okongo

Students have been asked to train in careers that are market driven for their economic sustainance.

Speaking at Bombaba ward in Kisii county, Rongo University lecturer Dr.James Mbeche said that in order to counter economic challenges in the current competitive world, early preparations are needed.

He added that careers like engineering and medicine are on high demand and that students should work hard in subjects like mathematics so as to achieve careers of their choices.

Dr. Mbeche eulogized the late engineer Peter Kimori as a determined and curious student who worked hard until he became an engineer.

The late Kimori actively participated in the Kenya Association of Engineers and supported local students to join both local and foreign universities to pursue courses related to modern science and technology. He will be remembered for supporting other education developments  like the  improvement of infrastructure of   Magena boys secondary school.
