Students told to use the bonding created by sports to exchange ideas

Nyanchwa Boys Secondary School Principal Jackson Momanyi has said the essence of sports is to unite people and asked learners to use the bonding created by it to exchange ideas and excel academically.

“Use these occasions to share classroom experiences and compare notes,” he advised when he was addressing teachers and students from 13 secondary schools from Getembe Zone who assembled in his school for zonal ball games today.

The schools involved in the copmetitions include Kisii School, Masogo, Nyaura, Kerer, and Otamba, among others.

According to KESSHA Kisii Branch Chairman Fred Mogaka, the qualifying teams will proceed to the sub-county level on the 13th of June.

Meanwhile, the secondary schools zonal Music festival kicked off today at Kisii Comprehensive School.

Nyamagwa SDA Girls school raised the curtains with their Kikuyu song Omoono,while Giancher Friends presented a piece ‘Ekegusii Dong Okindo Bwatite Rikori’.
