The head of the Holy Ghost Coptic Church Father John Pesa 1 has urged students to pursue technical and vocational courses in order to enhance their chances of being absorbed into various sectors.
Speaking at his church headquarters in Kisumu, Pesa noted that white-collar jobs no longer exist adding that students should go for technical courses instead.
“TVETS would go a long way in making the students more relevant both locally and internationally,” he stated.
Pesa also called on exam supervisors to be vigilant in order to maintain the dignity of the entire exercise.
“Unorthodox methods should not be allowed to tarnish the name of national examinations at all costs,” he stressed.
Pesa while wishing to form four candidates well in the exams expressed gratitude that no cheating has so far been reported during the administration of standard eight and grade six examinations.
