Nellis Wesa a Form One student at Shikomari Secondary School Kakamega Central succumbed to blood cancer at Kakamega Referral Hospital where she had been undergoing treatment.
Wesa who died on 22nd May, 2020, had been diagnosed with the disease in December last year.
The principal Esther Apelli said: “The child was determined to succeed in her academics and she happened to be in top ten list in exams. May her soul rest in eternal peace.”
