Three people among them a student from Muindi Mbingu High School have lost their lives after a grisly accident at Koma in Matungulu sub county in Machakos.

The accident involving a motorbike and a lorry ferrying soda happened a few meters from Koma shopping center.

The three who died are the motorbike rider and his two pillion passengers.

According to witnesses, the motorbike was being rode dangerous, causing the accident.

“I was delivering Soda to Tala and on reaching Koma market I saw an approaching motorbike. The rider was swerving on the road dangerously.

In a bid to avoid hitting them, I slowed but still the motorbike collided with the lorry. The student died on the spot while the two died
after 30 minutes,” narrated the lorry driver.

Michael Muli, a teacher at Muindi Mbingu High School told the press that the student is a form four candidate who was heading back to school.

“To the parents and Muindi Mbingu School, we want to offer our condolences. Ramsey was a rugby player and a good student, it is a loss
for us as a school,” said the teacher.

Joel Mwendwa asked bodaboda riders to avoid reckless riding while rushing to transport students who are heading back to school.

Mwendwa said Kangundo road is very narrow thus causing accidents.

“Avoid trying to flex how you know how to ride a bike while putting your life and that of other road users at risk,” he said.

The bodies of the three were moved from the scene and taken to Kangundo Level Four Hospital Mortuary.
