Residents of Kisii County have their requests ready ahead of the visit by President William Ruto to the region on Sunday.

According to Nyaribari Chache MP Zaheer Jhanda, the President will join worshipers for an interdenominational service at Nyanturago stadium on Sunday.

Jhandah appealed to the residents to turn up in large numbers to welcome the head of state.

This is the second time the president will be visiting Nyaribari Chache Constituency since he took over power.

Led by Ibeno ward MCA Stephen Arika and Community Development Chairman John Sagero the residents are appealing to the president to consider funding Nyanturago High School to enable it to have improved infrastructure that will include modern science laboratories to boost performance in the science subjects.

“Proper investment in the provision of quality education to our children remains our main responsibility that is where we are asking the president to help us.” He said.

The Chairman highlighted other stalled projects like Rigena Medical Training College which was ground broken by Ruto when he was Deputy President but has never taken off for unknown reasons.

Saying that Kenya Kwanza Government’s main manifesto is to uplift the common man through the bottom-up economic transformation agenda, Sagero remained optimistic that the president will honour their request.

Nelson Omae who is a member of Nyaribari Chache Community Development group said the president should also consider elevating Nyanturago stadium into a national museum because of its historical background.

The residents lauded the Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu and Governor Simba Arati for the efforts they are making to enhance development projects, especially in the education sector and asked them to put aside their political differences and unite the community for faster development growth.
