Education stakeholders in the Coast region have been asked to complement each other so as to raise education standards in the region.

Speaking to Education News in his office in Mombasa town recently, Coast Regional Director of Education Mr. Luka Kangogo said that the success of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) implementation fully needed involvement of teachers, parents and students.

He also asked them to ensure provision of physical learning facilities to enhance effective teaching and learning.

Kangogo further urged Boards of Management in both primary and secondary schools to ensure they participate fully in the running of school affairs.

He asked school heads to ensure early syllabus coverage in their respective schools so as to pave way for thorough revisions in all the subjects.

The Director called on parents to support the 100 percent transition policy by ensuring all their children attend school at all levels as the government was committed to ensuring capitation funds are disbursed to schools in good time to enable schools operate effectively.
