St Joseph’s Junior Secondary School, Webuye, held a special Thanksgiving Mass to celebrate its basketball team’s outstanding performance at the National Junior Schools Games, held in Mombasa in April.

The team was recognised as the best public school and secured the position of second runners-up nationally—an achievement that has brought pride to the school and the entire Webuye community.

The solemn celebration was led by Nelson Sifuna, Director of Co-Curricular Activities and Field Coordination at the Ministry of Education.

He was joined by Rev. Fr. Plus Lukhale, Parish Priest of Webuye Catholic Parish, who offered prayers of gratitude and blessings for the young athletes.
