“The tireless efforts we employed as teachers bore fruit. The new curriculum is so demanding and requires extra work; hence, we must commend the school director for providing all the support we needed. The candidates, too, were a disciplined cohort always taking instructions from the teachers,” Odhiambo noted.

St. Gloria Junior Academy, Nyamonye, had a candidate intake of 76 learners, with 40 candidates scoring between 70 and 71 points, placing the school among the top performers in Kenya.

The Manager attributed the good results to teamwork and consistent support from parents and teachers.

“CBC is a new system that most parents have difficulty comprehending; however, for our school, we pride ourselves on ensuring constant clinics on the new curriculum to our parents, and we are confident that we keep moving together,” Odhiambo stated.

Parents Association chairperson Mr Tedds Onguka commended the learners, teachers, and parents for their collective effort, noting that the school is poised for even greater success as the CBE reforms take shape.

“I would like to thank all the teachers, parents, and candidates for their effort in ensuring that we produce good results,” he said.

Onguka also lauded the new system, saying it provides room to nurture learners’ talents and develop their potential beyond academics.

According to the candidates represented by Rachel Adongo Tembe (71 points), Fidelita Koya (71 points), Leah Apiyo Tembe (70 points), Phenny Akunyi (70 points) and Shamilla Albert (70 points), hard work, with the support of teachers and parents, helped them achieve good performance.
