St. Brigid Girls’ Kiminini High School reaffirmed their dominance in basketball after retaining the Trans-Nzoia County Secondary Schools title with a commanding 49–11 victory over Kesogon Mixed School in the finals staged at the Kitale National Polytechnic grounds.
The champions had earlier brushed aside St. Joseph’s Girls Joga 49–23 in the semi-final to book their place in the decisive clash.
In the boys’ handball category, St. Joseph’s Boys Jobo Kitale dethroned defending champions Nabunga with a 25–17 win in a tightly contested final played at St. Joseph’s Boys National School Kitale. Jobo had earlier dispatched Hilario Senior School 37–24 in the semi-final, while Nabunga overcame Noigam 29–20 to reach the final.

The girls’ handball competition saw reigning Rift Valley regional champions St. Joseph’s Girls Joga Kitale extend their supremacy by defeating Nabunga Mixed 31–17 in the final. Their path to glory included a resounding 62–15 semi-final win over Nakami, while Nabunga earned their spot after edging St. Joseph’s Nyasi Mixed 28–20.
Rugby 15s produced another thrilling chapter as defending champions FS Bwake Boys retained their crown with an 11–5 victory over St. Anthony Boys Kitale in the final played at Kitale Club grounds. Bwake had earlier crushed Kapsara 33–0 in the semi-final, while St. Anthony Boys secured their place by edging rivals St. Joseph’s Boys Jobo 10–0.
Basketball fans were treated to another spectacle as St. Joseph’s Boys Jobo retained their county title, defeating St. Paul Sinoko Boys 64–43 in the final at Kitale National Polytechnic. The victory cemented Jobo’s reputation as one of the strongest basketball outfits in the region.

With the conclusion of the county championships, the winning schools will now represent Trans-Nzoia County at the Rift Valley regional secondary school games scheduled to take place in Nakuru.
