As the country gears for a double secondary school intake in institutions in 2023, nominated Member of Parliament Hon. Wilson Sossion has challenged the Ministry of Education to conduct a review of Competency Based Curriculum (CBC) after its first five years.
Sossion, an educationist of no mean reputation has been a persistent renowned opponent of the new education system.
The former tough talking former Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Secretary General, who is currently a nominated Member of Parliament and a Bomet Senatorial aspirant told a local Television breakfast show recently that the CBC review would be necessary to give room for bettering the Curriculum.
“The five year review is a conditional United Nations Education Science and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) standards requirement,’’ said the outspoken former KNUT National Secretary General.
