The soccer pools for the Federation of East Africa Secondary Schools Sports Association (FEASSA) Championship 2025 have been unveiled, pitting the region’s best secondary school teams against each other in what promises to be a thrilling two weeks of competition in Kakamega County.

In the boys’ category, Group A will see Kenyan contenders Highway Secondary, Musingu High, and Butere Boys take on Uganda’s Buddo S.S and Amus College, Rwanda’s C.G.F.K Kicukiro, and Tanzania’s Kizuka Secondary. The group is already being billed as one of the toughest in recent FEASSA history, with multiple title hopefuls fighting for just a handful of knockout spots.

Group B is no less competitive. Ugandan giants St. Mary’s Kitende headline the pool, joined by Burundi’s E.P.M Mpanda, Kenya’s St. Joseph’s Kitale and Agai Secondary, Tanzania’s Benjamin Mkapa SS, Uganda’s Bukedea Comprehensive, and Rwanda’s A.P.E Rugunga. With such a diverse mix of football styles and pedigree, fans can expect unpredictable results and high-stakes clashes.

In the girls’ category, Group A brings together Kenya’s Nasakol Girls and Madira Girls Secondary, Rwanda’s P.S.S.B Huye, Tanzania’s Alliance Secondary, and Ugandan powerhouses Kawempe Muslim SS and St. Noa Girls SS. This group is stacked with experience, speed, and goal-scoring talent, making every match a potential decider.

Group B will feature Kenya’s Butere Girls High, Archbishop Njenga, and Kobala Secondary battling against Tanzania’s Fountain Gate, Uganda’s Amus College, and Boni Concilli Secondary. With several recent national champions in the mix, the fight for top spots is expected to go down to the wire.

The tournament kicks off on August 14 at the historic Bukhungu Stadium, running until August 25. Organisers are promising a festival of football as East Africa’s future stars take centre stage in Kakamega.
