It was a graceful moment of continuity at St. Joseph’s Girls High School in Trans Nzoia County as the outgoing school captain, Neema Lianda (2024–2025), officially handed over leadership to her successor, Neema Kemo.
The colourful handover ceremony, held on Friday at the school grounds, brought together teachers, students, and guests to witness what many fondly called a “Neema-to-Neema transition.”
The event was filled with gratitude, laughter, and hope as the school community celebrated a seamless change in student leadership.
In her farewell address, Neema Lianda reflected on her year of service with pride, expressing gratitude to the administration, teachers, and fellow students for their trust and cooperation.
“Serving as school captain has been a humbling and inspiring journey. I have learned that leadership is about service and teamwork. I wish the incoming captain all the best as she takes on this noble responsibility,” said Lianda.
Her successor, Neema Kemo, expressed deep appreciation to the school for the opportunity to serve, pledging to uphold the values of discipline, integrity, and unity.
