Shamberere National Poly to fully digitize operations

The newly elevated Shamberere National Polytechnic has announced plans to digitize its operations to offer quality services to its trainees.

While addressing the pioneer trainees during their orientation, Principal Elisha Nyamu said that the institution was setting up a student portal to enable online registration for new learners across the country.

He said that the portal will also assist parents to monitor the learning progress of their children.

Also to be installed is the biometric clock-in system that will identify, vet and allow only genuine trainees to enter the premises and attend to classes.

“We will be going digital fully to cope with the high traffic of learners and the two gadgets will assist the institution to identify those that have paid fees, attend classes as required and also help us manage the school with ease,” he said.

Nyamu hailed the ongoing launch of Jitume ICT labs across the country, adding that the institution had already launched its own laboratory equipped with 50 desktops.

The institution’s newly appointed Board of Governors member and retired Chief Principal Masayi Mwalati assured the trainees that the certificate they will receive after completing their training will guarantee their job security.

”I assure you that you are in the right place with the best trainers you will ever wish to have, just commit yourself and you will not regret being part of this wonderful family,” he said.
