The Director who was speaking in Ol Kalau town, Nyandarau County Headquarters, added that the schools were also given the opportunity to expand its infrastructure since it will accommodate students from all parts of Kenya.

He urged them to ensure all students have a secure and conducive environment that will enable them to carry out their studies and get quality grades.

Wambua also told students admitted in those schools to work hard and fully concentrate in their studies to achieve good grades.

“Students should be aware that their parents sacrifice daily to ensure they get all necessary financial and moral support. Students should produce good results to make their parents proud,” said the Director.

He also urged the community around the schools to always create a peaceful environment with the schools around them to enable teachers and students to continue with their learning smoothly.

The Director told them to provide quality services to the schools so that they can benefit economically from the institutions around them.

“Communities can provide necessary goods and services to schools to boost their economic status but all goods and services must be of the required quality that fit the Ministry of Education standards,” said Wambua.

Wambua said that besides the upgrading of seven schools into extra-county schools in Nyandarua County, the Ministry of Education also upgraded 20 other schools into County Schools.

“We have also upgraded 20 schools into County Schools, and we also require them to improve their academic performance and infrastructural development,” Wambua concluded.
