Seven men have been charged at the Makadara Law Courts following a violent mid‑morning raid at Gatoto Primary School in Embakasi South, where victims were allegedly assaulted and school property stolen.

The accused, Felix Mwanangi Maundu, Elivanus Imbuga Omari, Zacharia Bogongo Bosire, Reuben Kiarie Ndirangu, Victor Onchuru Nyabuto, and two others denied six counts, including robbery with violence, committing an indecent act, housebreaking, and assault causing actual bodily harm.

Prosecutors told the court the incident occurred on January 2 at around 9:30 am, when the suspects, allegedly armed with rungus, stormed the compound. They are accused of cornering a woman, Margaret Kimani, and robbing her of an Oppo mobile phone while threatening her with violence.

In a separate count under the Sexual Offences Act, five of the accused were charged with allegedly forcibly touching the complainant without her consent.
