Trans Nzoia Senator Allan Chesang recently visited his alma mater, St. Joseph’s Boys High School, Kitale, where he engaged with students during an Alumni-Students Session. The event was a powerful moment of connection, mentorship, and shared purpose, as the Senator encouraged the students to remain focused, disciplined, and intentional about their future.
During the session, Chesang drew from his own experiences, offering valuable insights and advice to the students. He commended the school’s alumni for their efforts in building an ICT classroom that will benefit 100 students, and pledged to support the initiative by donating 100 computers.
“I was truly inspired by the energy and enthusiasm of the students,” Senator Chesang said. “It’s moments like these that remind me of the importance of giving back to the community and investing in the next generation of leaders.”
Chesang’s commitment to education extends beyond mentorship. As a senator, he has made significant contributions to the education sector, including drilling boreholes in schools to provide access to clean water and sanitation facilities. He has also provided sanitary pads to schools, supporting girls’ education and hygiene.

“I believe that every child deserves access to quality education, regardless of their background or circumstances,” Chesang emphasized. “As a leader, it’s our responsibility to create opportunities and provide resources that enable students to succeed.”
The Senator’s visit was also an opportunity to recognize the dedication of educators like Chief Principal Mr. Cosmas Nabungolo, who has served as a principal at St. Anthony’s Boys and is currently leading St. Joseph’s Boys High School. “I commend Mr. Nabungolo for his tireless efforts in shaping young men into leaders of character,” Chesang said.
