Elgeyo Marakwet Governor Wisley Rotich

Senate Education Committee Chair, Betty Muntet, has commended Elgeyo Marakwet County under the leadership of Governor Wisley Rotich for prioritizing early learning, stating that the county is among the few counties in Kenya that have invested heavily in ECDE infrastructure.

“We are impressed by the construction of modern ECDE classrooms complete with offices, toilet blocks, and kitchens,” said Muntet. “Such investments create a conducive learning environment for our children and motivate both learners and teachers.”

Muntet further lauded Governor Rotich for implementing a salary increment for ECDE teachers across the county, a move she described as timely and encouraging.
