Webuye East Member of Parliament Martin Wanyonyi officially unveiled a Ksh18 million two-storey building at Muji Secondary School today, a major step toward enhancing educational infrastructure in the region.
The newly commissioned structure houses four modern classrooms and an administration block. The MP described the facility as a symbol of his continued commitment to improving learning environments within the constituency, noting that quality education begins with a conducive learning space.
While addressing students, teachers, and parents during the commissioning ceremony, Wanyonyi emphasised the importance of academic excellence. He encouraged students to work hard in their studies, particularly in preparation for the upcoming Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams. He further stated that exemplary KCSE results would make a strong case for more funding to be channelled to the school through the National Government Constituencies Development Fund (NG-CDF).
“This investment is for you, the students. Make good use of it and give us good KCSE results. When you succeed, we’ll have even more reason to bring in additional resources,” said the MP.

Local leaders, parents, and education stakeholders attended the event, and they lauded the MP’s efforts to improve education in the constituency.
