He said there are many incidents of candidates being found with mobile phones and called for urgent action by both teachers and parents.

The CDE said it was inconceivable in most instances for the candidates to own the gadgets without the financial support of the parents.

However, the educationist observed that the parents of some of the candidates fall into traps of falsehoods being peddled that there some examinations which could be leaked through the phones.

“Our teachers sometimes face last minute challenges when candidates try unethical means to pass their final examinations. I take this opportunity to caution against such attempts. Handling of mobile phones by students has been banned in all schools,” he said.

Speaking in Kabianga High School during their prayer day, Ngoneshi advised students to revise thoroughly and consult their teachers closely, which in the end will ensure a high transition to university.

He thanked the Chief Principal Ezekiel Kurgat together with his staff for striving hard to put the institution in the lead academically.
