School offers parents Hass Avocado seedlings for sustainability

St. Teresa Kanyange Academy graduands

St. Teresa Kanyange Academy in Othaya, Nyeri County has provided parents with Original Hass Avocado seedlings for planting in a bid to ensure environmental responsibility and food security.

Speaking during the graduation of 92 young students, the school’s Director, John Githinji Wairagu, emphasized the importance of nurturing these avocados as a symbolic reminder of their children’s educational journey.

“When these trees grow, they will stand as a lasting memory of this special day,” he noted.

Additionally, the director congratulated the graduands and expressed his gratitude towards teachers, parents, and pupils for their cooperation, which has resulted in excellent academic achievements.
