Ngaindeithia High School in Nyandarua North Sub-county has beaten all odds to become one of the fastest growing schools in the region.
While presiding over a thanksgiving mass at the school, Fr.John Maina Kariuki of the Catholic Diocese of Nyahururu urged the learners at the school to develop an academic exchange programme with other institutions far and beyond. He also advised parents to be in the forefront in moulding their children.
“There is need to embrace a holistic education that encompasses all genres in the sector,” he said.
The Principal Patrick Githige emphasized the need to leverage continuous assessment exams as a benchmark for scoring better grades.
The school’s main objectives in the year 2018 are to take at least thirty students to public universities and improve the physical infrastructure. In 2019, it plans to erect a boarding unit for boys.
“Our culture mainly dwells on improving the school’s academic performance, image and evolving prudent ways of sourcing funds and better ways of managing the available resources,” noted Githige.
Last month, the school won the Best Mixed Day School Award organized by the prestigious Catholic Schools Awards at a ceremony held at Tabor Hill spiritual centre in Nyahururu.
