President Ruto has nominated Julius Ogamba for the position of Cabinet Secretary for Education.
The nomination of Ogamba was done today during a press briefing at State House to the nation where the Head of State announced the appointment of 11 members to his new Cabinet.
The nominated Education CS is currently the Chairman of Kenya Electricity Generating Co. Plc.
Ogamba is a seasoned, visionary and accomplished advocate with about 30 years of experience in legal practice.
He is a driven, detail-oriented Senior Advocate, with a proven track record of leading teams, forging long-lasting client relationships and influencing organisational productivity by ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
Leveraging analytical, problem-solving and negotiation skills, he has built a reputation for providing quality, accurate and relevant legal advice, having developed a large portfolio of corporate clients across banking and financial industries, manufacturing, oil, gas, natural energy and real estate sectors as well as Government Agencies.

He holds a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) from the University of Nairobi, a Diploma in Law from the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies, University of London and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from Kenya School of Law.
He is a Commissioner for Oaths and Notary Public, a member of the Law Society of Kenya and a Certified Public Secretary.
Other nominees to the new Cabinet are ; Interior – Kithure Kindiki (CS Interior), Health – Dr Debra Mulongo Barasa (CS Health), Public Works – Alice Wahome (CS Public Works), Defence – Aden Duale (CS Defense), Agriculture – Dr Andrew Karanja (CS Agriculture), Environment – Soipan Tuya (CS Enviroment), Water – Eric Muriithi (CS Water) Roads – Davis Chirchir (CS Roads), ICT – Dr Margaret Ndungu (CS ICT), and Rebecca Miano as Attorney General.
