Rongena Secondary dominates Narok West games with triple title sweep

Rongena Secondary School put on a commanding display at the Narok West Sub-County Term Two Secondary School Games, clinching top titles in three major disciplines and cementing its status as a sports powerhouse in the region.

The tournament, held at Moi Naikarra High School grounds, saw Rongena sweep the girls’ football, boys’ volleyball, and girls’ volleyball categories, showcasing remarkable consistency, discipline, and teamwork.

Principal Paul Soi, who has spearheaded the school’s transformation both academically and in sports, praised the students and coaching staff for their outstanding performance.

“This is the reward of unity, hard work, and focus. Our teams gave everything and made the school proud,” he said.

In girls’ football, Rongena overcame Talek Girls 2–0 in a physical contest that highlighted tactical maturity and sharp finishing. The boys’ volleyball team followed with a stunning 3–0 victory over longtime rivals Talek Boys High School, while the girls’ volleyball team maintained their dominance by sweeping Ringwa Secondary School 3–0—marking their third straight title.
Principal Soi emphasised the school’s commitment to a well-rounded education, where co-curricular activities are nurtured alongside academic growth.

“Our students are excelling not only in the classroom but also in the field. This is the well-balanced individual we aim to develop,” he added.

In a closely contested netball final, hosts Moi Naikarra Girls narrowly lost 17–18 to Sekenani Girls, capping off a thrilling day of action.

With the sub-county games now behind them, all eyes are on Rongena as they prepare for the upcoming county-level competitions, where their impressive form makes them clear favourites.
