Reprieve for 32 KCPE candidates after MP fully sponsors them

Nyaribari Chache Member of Parliament Zaheer Jhanda has sponsored thirty two bright students from vulnerable families to join secondary school.

Speaking after meeting the learners, Jhanda said that the cohort sent their Constituency Development Fund (CDF) bursary applications after the programme had already been closed but he promised to sponsor them fully up to Form Four level.

“As a human being, I chipped in to help these destitute students. Most of them are bright children, but they lack school fees,” he said.

The Legislator said that his main driving force is to ensure that there is education development in the constituency and that every child goes to school.

“I believe when children are educated, we will be able to eradicate poverty,” he said.

According to Jhanda, education is one of the ways through which an individual can improve their quality of life and access opportunities.

The students thanked the MP and vowed to work hard in their studies.
