Relief for parents as Kipkelion East NGCDF pays all fees for Form 4’s

All fees for Form Four day scholars in Kipkelion East Constituency will be paid through bursaries from the NGCDF, says area MP Dr Joseph Cherorot.

“In our NGCDF programme we have established the Form Four free day school where fees are paid for all the candidates,” he said during the constituency’s Education Day held at the Sacred Hills Girls School.

He urged the Ministry of Education to employ teachers who have served under BoM for a long time as they had proved their worth.

The chief guest was Cabinet Secretary for Education Ezekiel Machogu who launched a Ksh50 million for constituency bursary.

The MP, who was accompanied by his Kipkelion West counterpart Hilary Kosgey, called on the government to classify some sections of the constituency as hardship areas, saying the conditions warrant it.

Cherorot and Kosgey made passionate appeals to both the national and county government to focus more on the two constituencies, saying they lag behind in matters education due to historical imbalances.

“As the MP for this area and together with my brother Kosgey, we will try our best to uplift the standards of education in the two constituencies since our areas lag behind after being overlooked for a long time,” he added.

Machogu said the government has released the second tranche of capitation of Ksh30.5 billion to secondary schools and universities.
