Makueni Governor Mutula Kilonzo Jr. has come to the aid of a paralyzed grade four pupil after donating a wheelchair to help him move around.
This has created a relief to parents and a teacher of the pupil who is admitted at Kenyatta National Hospital has been paralysed due to a stab wound he suffered at the back.
This comes after the family and teachers contacted Governor Mutula for assistance with the boy’s mobility.
According to the head teacher of Kyanguswi Primary, Mary Kaloki, who is also the KNUT representative in Tulimani-Kiteta, the kid was stabbed on February 22 by a well-known person in the area alongside his brother, who is also a grade 6 pupil.

“He stabbed the two; the other boy got neck and shoulder stab, but he has since recovered. The other one who is paralyzed and still admitted at KNH got stabbed in the back, and the knife left a stack at the same spot. The third one ran screaming for help,” Kaloki narrated.
The head teacher added that the man used to do casual jobs in the family sometimes, and there was no bad blood between him and the family.
Jackson Musyoka KNUT BEC Tulimani also noted that the boy lives with her grandmother Jacinta Ngina, and wondered why the man wanted to do away with the neighbor’s kids belonging to one family.
“Though he has since been arrested, we call upon the government not to release such a person back to the community. The boy is now disabled and will live under the mercy of others. It pains,” Musyoka said.

The governor delivered the donation during his project tour at Tulimani Ward, where he unveiled the Wambuli Primary School ECDE center.
“We want to provide quality learning facilities to our pre-primary kids in our county,” Mutula said.
