The Public Service Commission (PSC) has announced the recruitment of interns to serve in various government ministries, departments, state agencies, corporations and public universities through the Public Service Internship Programme (PSIP).

The programme is part of a government initiative to equip recent graduates with practical skills and exposure in the public service, with the aim of enhancing their employability.

The internship programme will run for twelve months and will not be renewable. It targets graduates who have completed their Bachelor’s degrees from recognized universities not earlier than the year 2018.

The applicants must have proficiency in computer applications and possess good interpersonal and communication skills. Those selected will be deployed to various public institutions where they will support daily operations, assist in project implementation, engage in research activities and undertake any other duties as agreed upon by their supervisors.

Interns will be paid a monthly stipend as determined by the government, and upon successful completion of the internship, they will be awarded a certificate by the PSC.

Applications must be submitted online through the PSC’s job portal at www.publicservice.go.ke. Interested and qualified candidates are required to send their applications before the deadline of August 19, 2025.

PSC has emphasized that this opportunity is open to all eligible graduates, in line with its policy as an equal opportunity employer.

This internship programme is designed not only to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical work experience but also to empower the youth with the necessary skills to navigate the employment market.
