Over 1000 students are this week without an education in Bungoma County after a fire on Sunday night destroyed a dormitory at Friends Bokoli Boys High School.

The cause of this fire has not been determined and an investigation is currently underway.

This is the third incident happening at the institution in a span of two years.

After a five-hour boardroom meeting chaired by county director of education in the county Pius Ng’oma, students were released to go home due to lack of accommodation home to pave way for investigation.

No student was injured but properties worth millions of shillings were reduced to ashes.

In a terse statement, the county education boss warned of dire consequences on the culprits behind the fire. He said regardless of culprit status in the society he or she will have to face the wrath of the law.
