Pomp in Kisumu school as students showcase gifts in talent show

It was pomp and colour coupled with scintillating dances and verses during a talent show at Dr. Aloo Gumbi Mixed Secondary school in Kisumu County.

The students displayed their talents in singing, acting and cat-walking to the bemusement of the teaching fraternity.

A number of students won prizes in the respective categories they took part in.

A Form Four student who is also a budding singer, Prince Nina kept the crowd at the edge of their seats with his unique singing prowess.

This got him a standing ovation from fellow students and teachers at the learning institution which is located in Kisumu East constituency, a few kilometers from Kibos Trading Centre.

In the rapping category, Shem Olende was declared the winner amidst stiff competition while Sadia Prudence carried the Poetry laurels.

Emma Auma was declared the winner in the cat-walking competition where she beat a crowded lot of opponents.

The school Principal Mr. George Opiyo said the event was organized to enable the students showcase their talents.

While lauding involved teachers who prepared the students for the rare event, Mr. Opiyo said the event showed that the students had immense talents which could be tapped to earn a living.
