Kisii County Police Commander Charles Kessesi has ordered his officers to hasten the arrest of a 20-year-old man who allegedly defiled his sister aged 10.

According to the area Chief, Derrick Hassan defiled the minor at Bogiakumu village in Kisii County, taking advantage of the absence of other family members at the time.

The girl’s parents sought medical attention at Kisii Teaching and Referral Hospital (KTRH) and later demand the arrest of the suspect.

KTRH Chief Executive Officer Enock Ondari confirmed the defilement.

“There are signs of severe penetration but we have taken early interventions for her recovery,” he said.

The medic told the parents to seek a counselor for the girl to assist her deal with trauma and stigma.

Gesonso Police Station Commander asked parents to guard their children against suspicious people including their relatives with questionable social records.
