A police officer was arrested on day 1 of KCPE and KPSEA examinations in Molo for failing to show up for the second session after having too much to drink at the break.

According to police reports, the centre manager of Kimonio Primary School in Kapsindet, Marishoni location in Molo Sub-county Elijah Biwott raised an alert after the officer was noted to be absent from the examination room.

Police from Molo joined the area OCS in a search and found the colleague in deep slumber at the teachers quarters.

“Joshua Kimathi was disarmed and replaced with another officer Richard Mburu,” said the report.

The officer is being held at Elburgon Police Station awaiting charges.
