Police officers have launched a manhunt after a suspect believed to be raking in millions, sold KCSE exam papers to over 12,000 followers in various WhatsApp groups.

Reportedly, the illicit operation came to light when a KNEC official conducting routine checks during the Mathematics Paper 2 exams at Nyancwa Boys High School, noticed a mobile phone strategically placed on a table next to an open window in an adjacent class.

Upon completion of the exam, the student in possession of the locked phone was identified.

Providing the password upon request, the student unwittingly exposed their involvement.

The KNEC official, delving into the phone’s WhatsApp section, uncovered the incriminating evidence – the Mathematics Paper 2 answers posted by the suspect.

Swift police intervention from Kisii Police Station ensued.

Investigations revealed that the suspect had already dispatched the answers to various groups before the exam’s official commencement at 8:00 am.

As the student continued with subsequent exams, the recovered cell phone now stands as a vital exhibit.

The police force is actively engaged in tracking down the elusive group administrator, who, it was discovered, was soliciting an additional Ksh.10,000 from each member for the upcoming Kiswahili Paper 3.
