A group of former students from Alliance Girls High School staged a peaceful demonstration today morning to protest alleged sexual misconduct by a male teacher at the institution.
Gathered outside the school’s main gate, the alumnae called on the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) to take swift and decisive action to eliminate sexual predators from the school environment.
Video footage from the protest captured demonstrators wearing white shirts and holding placards with bold messages, including “Protect the Girls, not the Predators.”
The protesters criticised the TSC for its silence, stating that their initial letter had gone unanswered.
Despite the lack of response, the former students promised to persist until justice is served.

A police vehicle was stationed outside the school compound, with uniformed officers deployed to maintain peace during the demonstration. Images from the scene showed police closely monitoring.
“We are explicitly calling for the interdiction of the teacher in line with TSC disciplinary procedures, followed by a comprehensive and impartial investigation,” the alumni declared.
They further insisted that “the teacher be immediately suspended from all his duties, including the teacher’s role as Christian Union patron pending complete investigations.”
These demands came just one week after a former student came forward with allegations of sexual exploitation by the teacher in question. Despite earlier complaints from students urging his removal, the accused educator has reportedly remained in his position and continues to serve in a leadership capacity within the school.
The protest follows a public statement issued the previous day by the Federation of Women Lawyers in Kenya (FIDA-Kenya), condemning the alleged misconduct.
In a statement dated Monday, July 7, FIDA-Kenya described the exposé by African Uncensored as “shocking and heartbreaking.” The organisation also offered legal and psychological support to affected students, affirming: “We want every girl who has experienced abuse to know that she is not alone.”
