While many students head straight home at the end of the term, one student from Paul Boit High School is using the moment to make a difference.
Remmy Kigen, a Form Three student and president of the school’s Red Cross Club, led a charitable outreach to the Jawabu Rehabilitation Centre in Eldoret on Wednesday, July 30, 2025.
Accompanied by club members and supported by the Kenya Red Cross (Eldoret branch), the team delivered food, clothes, toys, and toiletries to children living with disabilities.
The items were donated by well-wishers who have joined Kigen’s mission to spread kindness at the end of each school term.

“It’s not just about donations — it’s about presence and connection,” Kigen said during the visit.
The students spent the day interacting with the children through games and songs.
They shared stories, turning the visit into more than just a handover.
Many well-wishers have been moved by his every move, with many joining him in his charity work. Calling Kigen’s efforts inspiring and impactful.
As schools close for the holidays, his story stands out — a reminder that leadership often begins with empathy. He does charitable events every holiday.
