A section of teachers and parents in Kiambu County have called on the Ministry of Education to consider placing students in their schools of choice.
“We are requesting the Ministry to be allow students join schools they selected if they are merited,” Juja Preparatory and Senior Schools Deputy Principal Denis Odero said.
His sentiments were echoed by Wankan Academy head teacher Bernard Ngugi who said that in the past years it has been a distressing ordeal to parents when children miss out on slots for their schools of choices.
Kiambu County has some of the best national schools in the country such as Alliance Boys, Alliance Girls, Mang’u High, Mary Hill Girls, Limuru Girls and Loreto High School.
