Parents of a Form Three student at Maseno School in Kisumu County who allegedly passed away after falling off the second floor of a dormitory have demanded for a thorough probe into the matter.

The boy’s parents who demanded to be furnished with CCTV footage for review, sought answers from the police and the school administration over the sudden death of their son whom they termed as always in high spirits.

“We are yet to review the CCTV footage to ascertain what transpired. All we want to know is what led to our son’s death. We are hoping to get answers from the post-mortem analysis,” the deceased’s father Mr Caleb Ingolo said.

According to the police report, the school’s Deputy Principal, John Okoth got wind of the information from a student. He then reported the matter to Maseno Police Station as the boy was rushed to Coptic Hospital in Luanda and later transferred to Aga Khan Hospital in Kisumu.

Mr Okoth later informed his parents who later arrived at the facility where the student was undergoing treatment. However, the student succumbed to his injuries.
