Ndaragwa North Subcounty Education Director Wario Boru has emphasized the importance of parents fostering strong bonds with their children during the extended holiday to uphold high standards of discipline.

Addressing the community from his Ndaragwa Town office in Nyandarua County, Boru urged parents to actively engage in and monitor their children’s activities, ensuring involvement in character-enhancing pursuits.

“There is need for parental guidance to sustain discipline which is crucial for academic success,” he underscored.

The Director further warned against idle minds, advocating for activities such as tree planting and caring for poultry to positively shape children’s mindsets.

“Idle children may turn to negative influences, including drugs and immoral behavior, jeopardizing their character, lives, and education,” he cautioned.

Additionally, Boru insisted that parents should be actively involved, aware of their children’s whereabouts, activities, and the company they keep.

Meanwhile, the Director of Belvine Academy in Nakuru County Ruth Odhiambo, acknowledged the sacrifices parents make, such as paying school fees and providing essential care.

Speaking from her office, Odhiambo stressed that parental blessings are bestowed upon respectful children engaged in activities aligned with parental values, contributing to the molding of their future character.

She further encouraged children to recognize and appreciate the sacrifices made by their parents, reinforcing the reciprocal nature of a respectful parent-child relationship during the extended break.
