The Pentecostal Assemblies of God (PAG) Kenya has condemned in the strongest terms the brutal killing of Simon Isiaho Shange, the Principal of Munyuki PAG Secondary School in Lugari Constituency, describing his death as a shocking and inhumane act that has robbed the nation of a devoted educationist.
In a condolence message issued on Monday, November 10, the church’s General Superintendent, Rev. George Abara Mbalanya, said PAG Kenya had received the news of Shange’s death with deep sorrow and outrage.
“It is with deep sorrow that we received the sad news of the tragic death of Simon Isiaho Shange,” read part of the statement. “His untimely and sudden demise is a great loss to his family, the education fraternity, and the Church as a whole.”
Shange was reported missing on Monday, November 3, 2025, and was later found dead under distressing circumstances. His body was recovered after several days of intense search efforts, sparking widespread grief across the education sector and the PAG community.
PAG Kenya, which sponsors Munyuki PAG Secondary School, described the murder as “a heinous and unacceptable act” and called upon law enforcement agencies to expedite investigations and ensure those behind the killing face the full force of the law.
“We strongly condemn this unfortunate heinous incident that is unacceptable, as a church and main sponsor of Munyuki PAG Secondary School,” the statement added. “We call upon all the security apparatus to move with speed and ensure that those responsible for this inhumane act are brought to justice.”

The church also expressed solidarity with the bereaved family, students, teachers, and the broader education community as they come to terms with the loss.
“On behalf of PAG Kenya, we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the late Shange. May the Almighty Father grant them strength and comfort to endure this enormous loss,” the message concluded.
The death of Shange has sent shockwaves through the education sector, with growing calls for the government to step up protection for teachers and ensure justice is served swiftly.
