Over 3,000 Form 1 students in Webuye receive Ksh15M bursary

Over 3,000 Form 1 students in day schools in Webuye East constituency have benefited from Ksh15 million bursaries released today.

Speaking while issuing the cheque at Lutacho Secondary School, area Member of Parliament (MP) Martin Wanyonyi assured parents that in his quest to provide quality education, he will prioritize education in the constituency.

“The Ksh15 million will cater for Term 1 fees in 24 day secondary schools in the constituency,” he said.

The dummy cheque that was presented by MP Martin Wanyonyi.

The MP was accompanied by Webuye East Deputy County Commissioner (DCC) Peter Yegon.

In his remarks, Yegon vowed to arrest parents who let their children stay at home instead of joining secondary school.

He pledged to rally local administrators to flush out the students.
