The Nyanza Regional Director of Education Lawrence Karuntimi has urged school heads to ensure that no irregularities are detected in their respective learning institutions. He called for delivery of credible examinations as the national tests kick off in earnest.
Speaking at the Tom Mboya labour college during the second annual breakfast prayer meeting for Kenya secondary school heads association for Kisumu County under the theme “The Lord is My Shepherd|’the official noted that exam irregularities not only affect learners but also erodes the integrity of the examinations.
Saying that divine providence is key to any undertaking the director also called on indicators to teach students about the word of God noting that knowledge starts with knowing the almighty.

Karuntimi called on students to avoid cheating in examinations since the consequences could be severe for them.
Kisumu county KESSHA chairman George Opiyo and the director of education Rosemary Birenge were also present at the prayer breakfast meeting.
Birenge called on both students and teachers to observe integrity during the examination period.
She noted that exam cheating is a vice whose consequences could be grave.
Opiyo called for accountability on the part of school heads, saying that all eyes are on schools heads, whenever things go wrong, the public will hold the accountable.
He urged school heads to work closely with parents and other stakeholders for peaceful coexistence and efficiency service delivery.
