Nyamira teaching fraternity has mourned an educationist, the late Yabesh Kambi, as an active man who supported education development in the region.

Led by the Kenya National Union of Teachers (KNUT) Assistant Treasurer Kennedy Nyamwanda, they said his demise has left a big gap in Borabu Constituency that will take a long time to fill.

“He was active in society initiating many developments in the sector of education and sports,” said Nyamwanda.

His brother Ronald Nyandoro confirmed that his elder brother collapsed and died aged 51, while he was at his law firm at Kitengela in Nairobi.

“My brother complained of headache and died within a short time while in the office,” he said.

He said that his brother, who was a lawyer and a great scholar, loved to see all children in the area go to school because he believed that education was the only sure way towards meaningful development.

His body was moved to Lee Funeral Home awaiting an autopsy.
