The Governor of Nyamira County Amos has pledged to collaborate with both public and private investors in the advancement of education, healthcare, and agriculture within the region, emphasizing that a community’s progress is inexorably linked to the quality of its education.

Speaking at the Nyaramba Ward during the inauguration of Dr. Onyari Foundation Hospital, Nyaribo stressed that education serves as the bedrock, producing skilled doctors and farmers who, in turn, nurture and sustain the community.

“The county has allocated over 200 million shillings towards education bursaries for students in secondary schools and universities, along with the construction of ECDE classrooms,” he stated.

Furthermore, Nyaribo urged young graduates not to wait for scarce white-collar jobs but to explore opportunities in the informal sector, advocating for collective efforts such as starting small-scale projects like poultry farming.

He also called on the youth to shun substance abuse, as it impairs their mental, physical, and spiritual well-being.

The hospital’s founder, Dr. Onyari, highlighted the Ksh. 750 million investment in establishing this unique medical facility, which will primarily address emergency medical needs in the region.
