Early Childhood Development Education (ECDE) teachers from Nyamira County have threatened to down tools in January when schools reopen unless their employer meets their economic demands.

“We obeyed the request from our Governor and continued with teaching with the hope of being paid for the teaching services we are offering, but the payment has never come,” he said.

Saying that now that the Governor has survived the impeachment attempts, they asked him to pay attention to their grievances and save them from the shame they are facing as they survive, depending on borrowing from friends and relatives.
“The Governor has joined the ruling Party. We expect him to listen to our problems and, if possible, seek assistance.
